Sara Gursky-Petitt studied Fine Arts at Bennington College with Paul Feeley. She has always been fascinated with people's urgency to look at family photos. Yet quite often these same photos are discarded to wind up in Flea Markets. Gursky-Petitt reinvents new lives and stories for these people. More recently she has digitally collaged images in imagined sites. Her work reconstructs reality and crosses boundries between locale, time and memory.
